Things In Your Home an Organizer Would Toss

If the weather is making your feel like refreshing your space, clear the clutter first. So often unnecessary items are crowding our living areas. When doing daily, weekly or seasonal cleaning it is best to begin by identifying trash. Identify things you do not use, things you don’t love and broken items and just trash. It’s time to take out the garbage. Start by grabbing a large, black garbage bag and tossing these items:

  • expired medicines
  • expired spices
  • old magazines and newspapers
  • junk mail
  • catalogs
  • mismatched socks
  • worn out linens/sheets/towels
  • stained pot holders
  • damaged cooking utensils
  • stained pots
  • tired pillows
  • outdated electronics
  • unused gifts
  • old makeup and lotions
  • expired or unwanted skincare
  • old nail polish
  • old fragrance
  • excessive plastic or paper bags or grocery bags
  • broken anything
  • broken toys
  • broken tools
  • DVDs and CDs
  • clothes that don’t fit
  • stained clothes
  • worn out shoes
  • unused exercise equipment
  • excessive decorations
  • unmatched storage bins
  • unmatched kitchen pieces
  • old paint
  • unused craft supplies
  • broken crayons
  • dry markers
  • pens with no tops
  • old glasses
  • manuals for things you no longer own
  • old phones and phone chargers
  • old camera equipment
  • old video equipment
  • old office equipment
  • unidentified cables
  • most of the junk drawer
  • promotional freebies
  • unread books
  • outdated travel guides
  • duplicate items
  • just in case things
  • reciepts
  • condiment packets
  • expired food in refrigerator/pantry/freezer

Identifying trash is a great place to start!

Do it for you.

Do it with those who share your space.

Do it so others do not have to deal with your stuff because it is yours to deal with.

Do it so it is not crazy when you move.

Do it for the freedom!!
